Therapy and Assessment
ReNEW provides expertise in assessment (cognitive, risk, personality, psychological) as well as holding specialist training in a number of interventions, allowing us to gain a holistic understanding of the difficulties an individual may experience in relation to their experience of abuse and disempowerment, and how we can work together to support them in a way that is meaningful to them. Individuals accessing the service may have a particular intervention in mind they would like to access, or may be looking for advice around what approach would be most beneficial. In either case this can be discussed during an initial consultation, where the most appropriate therapeutic approach can be advised upon. We may recommend further assessment to ensure we are offering the right intervention, and to ensure this is a good fit for you. It is important to us that we work together with those accessing our service to provide the right support for them, in way that feel comfortable, helpful and sustainable. Education and Training
ReNEW works with local education providers across the North East to tackle cultures of disempowerment and abuse in schools and other educational settings. ReNEW also works with young people and adolescents to provide workshops and consultations, with the view to improving the lives of women and girls across our local communities.
Organisational Support
ReNEW specialises in psychologically-informed workplaces. We can offer training, supervision, consultancy, and reflective practice; as well as engaging in longer term pieces of work around culture change, research, or service evaluation.
Leadership Coaching
ReNEW works with women and local businesses to enhance equitable opportunities in allowing women to achieve their goals and value their personal and professional development. The 'One Feather Coaching Programme' offers an individualised package of support empowering women to progress and develop their skills to enhance leadership qualities and opportunities.
Research and Service Evaluation
ReNEW offers skills in research, audit, and service evaluation, specialising in research in relation to women, abuse, and societal inequalities. Research is conducted 'in-house' as well as providing guidance and expertise on a consultancy basis.

Abuse and disempowerment can be seen in many different way which effect women throughout their lives. ReNEW has specialist knowledge and experience of supporting women in several key areas and offers support through our core services:
- Criminal Justice and victimisation
Involvement with the Criminal Justice System can be traumatic for both those who perpetrate offences and the victims of those offences. ReNEW recognises how the Criminal Justice System can contribute to ongoing abuse and disempowerment and supports women to feel safer and empowered to live the life they want.
- Pregnancy and parenting
The experience of pregnancy and parenting can generate a range of complex and often conflicting emotions, particularly for survivors of abuse and trauma. ReNEW has specialist experience in supporting individuals, and organisations working with women who are pregnant or parenting.
- Intersectionality and inclusion
ReNEW recognises all aspects of a woman’s identity and how being a woman connects with other aspects of their identity. ReNEW considers all aspects of a woman’s diversity and seeks to empower women to feel equal and respected within their community.
- Relational Abuse
Experiencing abuse and harm within relationships can have a significant impact on the individual's health and emotional wellbeing. ReNEW has specialist expertise in supporting women who have experience of domestic violence and abuse within various relationships (family, friends, intimate partner etc).
- Veterans support
Leaving the military and transitioning to life as a civilian can bring a host of unique social and emotional challenges. ReNEW has personal and professional understanding of military culture and supports current and ex-service women as they navigate the next chapter of their life.
- Neurodiversity
ReNEW has specialist knowledge and experience of working to support people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia), Brain Injury and people suffering with memory problems associated with aging. We offer support and understanding to individuals with these diagnosis to reduce the impact this has on their lives.
